Welcome to bareroot.

Hello, I’m Sarah.

I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2017, which kickstarted my health and nutrition journey. I'm now a food and event curator, specializing in culinary medicine for gut health, and healing.

I studied a plant-based culinary course and complete numerous gut health certifications guided by Dr. Will Bulsiewicz, a double-certified gastroenterologist who specializes in plant nutrition for gut health.

I host educational events.

With a passion for educating people about the benefits of plant-based food for health and healing, I have made it my mission to spread awareness in my community. I co-operate the Palm-Based Supper Club, along with other wellness happenings, to bring people together and celebrate the healing power of plants.

I sell gut healing tea.

Inspired by my journey to restore my gut health, my unique blend of “Belly Love Tea” targets symptoms such as gas, acid reflux, nausea, and bloating.

My specially crafted medicinal blend is formulated with Lemon Balm, Licorice Root, Calendula, Ginger, Fennel Seeds and Slippery Elm to provide essential relief from digestive discomfort.

I write about nutritional things.

Read my latest writings about plant-based nutrition, recipes, my ulcerative colitis journey, the occasional interview, and anything else that will provide your health journey with the nourishment that it needs.
